Labskin Sponsors And Presents At Microbiome Connect: Skin Europe Virtual Conference

With another new variant of concern from the coronavirus emerging in recent weeks, many in-person events were faced with having to change to a virtual setting.

This was the case for Labskin’s latest conference, Microbiome Connect: Skin Europe, which had been scheduled to take place in Amsterdam, Netherlands at the start of December.

While in-person events are crucial for creating new partnerships and collaborations, the virtual setting can be just as beneficial. This was the case for the Amsterdam event, as the attendee base was opened to a wider audience.

The virtual event was broadcasted live online from 7th-9th December. Labskin was proud to be a silver sponsor for this conference, joining other industry big-hitters such as Biose, Bayer and more.

Two Day Online Event

The two day online event included presentations from industry leaders, academics and R&D experts covering many different aspects in the skin microbiome world. These presentations allowed for interaction with attendees, encouraging learning and collaboration between fellow microbiome experts.

Labskin’s Head of Sales, Eric Clarke presented “The Perfect Circle of Personalisation” to a large number of attendees, which was very well received. Eric spoke of the journey Labskin has taken this year from offering microbiome testing to leading companies in the beauty and skin health industry to offering an at home microbiome test to the consumer with Skin Trust Club.

Personalisation is a hot topic in the cosmetic and beauty world for 2022 and beyond, with increasing attention being paid by consumers to the unique aspect of skin microbiome.

On the heels of the topic of personalisation, Labskin also participated in an interactive panel discussion on ‘Prebiotics, Probiotics and Personalised Skincare’ with guest speakers Dr David Caballero-Lima of Labskin, Trevor Steyn of ESSE, Aimara Coupet of BE+ Radiance and Marie Drago of Gallinée. The panel was chaired by Labskin Head of Sales, Eric Clarke with a lively stream of ideas and opinions being shared between all.
